Gravity, breast
feeding and age are the major contributors to breasts losing their
natural shape. Research has shown that women are inclined to want their
breasts firm and natural looking, as opposed to a more synthetic look
obtained from a breast augmentation.
The Breform™ internal bra system is best suited to women with medium
‘droopy’ breasts. If the patient’s breasts are very large, a breast
reduction mammaplasty will be recommended simultaneously. This will
ensure that the patient who undergoes the reduction procedure ends up
with a permanent internal bra system, resulting in firm beautiful
breasts.
Women, who have previously considered a mastopexy
procedure, should definitely investigate a Breform™ mastopexy. The
conventional mastopexy procedure is not permanent with patients reporting
a droop from as little as one year post-operatively.
Many of our patients have previously undergone
conventional mastopexy and reduction procedures with unsatisfactory
results – these patients have now looked to Breform™ for a long term
solution.
In the interest of obtaining
optimal results, the Breform™ surgeons recommend that all patients comply
with the following criteria :
- The patient must be post child-bearing;
- Patients must be their ideal, stable
weight;
- Patients who smoke will be requested to
quit smoking for a period before surgery
